Originally built in 1889 buy the pioneer, George Grant Mackay, the Capilano Suspension Bridge has since bin rebuilt to support the some 80,000 visitors that come to it each year. The current bridge is 136 meters long and is suspended some 70 meters above the Capilano Canyon. It offers splendid views of the river below and old growth forest. Experiencing the thrill of Vancouver’s largest suspension bridge is a must for any local or visitor.
