“My Favorite Kind of American” (“My favorite kind of Americans”) – the latest draft of a Brooklyn artist Gisperta Luis (Luis Gispert). Director, photographer and sculptor, Luis addresses many themes in his works, such as the penetration of subcultures in American society. Luis aesthetically inclined to theatrics, his images tend to have sharp overtones. This series represents a mix of sculptures of various booths and pictures of unreal landscapes. So the artist demonstrates the delicate balance between reality and embellished the facades that we tend to create around themselves.
